1970 Plymouth 'Cuda 426 HEMI, Jamaica Blue, Drive it Anywhere!

Not too often that you find a real 1970 Plymouth HEMI Cuda this is quite like this. If you are looking for a garage queen, this isn't it. If you are looking for a “project on the cheap”, this isn't it. If you are looking something that is well documented, in good condition, and you can just get, turn the key, and DRIVE, well, you've come to the right place.

This car has spent the last few decades as a driven show car and is currently dialed in and driven regularly, weather permitting. According to the owner, she has never been completely apart and still wearing all her original body panels. Judging from the “C” pillar seams and quality of the undercarriage, we are inclined to agree with this conclusion.

She was ground-up restored back in the 1990's, remaining largely stock with a few personalization's. Most notably, the car was originally optioned with a vinyl roof. The owner has all the trim should you decide to cover the slick top back up.
A refreshing departure from most cars we see in this remarkable condition, it isn't some shade of Army Green or Dog Food Brown. This 'Cuda was born in the shade you see it, B7 “Jamaica Blue” with Premium Trim, Black Leather Interior and SE Overhead Consolette. The cockpit is complete with Rallye Gauges and Center Console. How do we know? Easy, this one still has her original Fender Tags and a Factory Broadcast Sheet.

The engine bay is clean, well sorted and very good condition. The drive-train is stock appearing, the Transmission is VIN matching and believed to be original, the rear end is also reported by the owner to be the correct and original unit for the car. The 426 HEMI has been professional rebuilt and dialed in. The block is NOT original to the car, but is correct. The carbs, intake, heads etc. are original and correct to the car.

The Jamaica Blue paint looks great at 10 and even 5 feet but isn't perfect as the pictures show. If you want to drive and enjoy the car on a regular basis, then leave the paint alone. If you want to press the car back into show pony duty, then an exterior scuff and shoot would be in order.

The interior is in very good condition- the most significant blemishes being the typical crack in the top center of the dash and some added “426 HEMI” callouts added to the door panels. The rest of the interior is in very good condition and everything is operational.

The undercarriage is remarkably clean for a “Driver”, good detail and all components in very good condition with no evidence of rust, rust repair, or collision repair. Noticeably absent or fluid leaks or telltale fluid stains.

This 1970 HEMI 'Cuda reminds me of my favorite pair of Redwing Iron Ranger Boots that I just had new out soles put on- worn in, rugged, comfy, but far from worn out. Slip into to the leather driver's seat, hit the key and the HEMI roars to life, damn that feels good!
