1954 Chevrolet Corvette, "Blue Flame" Roadster, Public Museum Piece!

1954 was the first full production year after Corvette's "soft launch" in 1953. GM always used Corvette to push to envelope for manufacturing, such as first production use of a fiberglass body. Only 3,640 were made in 1954. This is one that has persisted through the ages and was lovingly restored, frame-off, to factory specifications. Virtually every nut and bolt has been turned on this Corvette. The Polo white exterior shows virtually flawlessly. The Sportsman Red interior, like new. The in-line "Blue Flame" 6-cylinder engine and two-speed power glide transmission have completely rebuilt to OEM specs. It as never been judged, but it is a genuine museum piece, proudly displayed as part of the Classic Car Collection in Kearney, Nebraska.

This car was frame off restored in 2010 to NCRS standards and retains its original body, frame, engine, and transmission. The only detail deviating from factory are the hubcaps, which are a nod to the first 25 '53 Corvettes produced. The car began as a no rust, no hit vehicle and was a long term part of a private collection. The convertible top and side curtain windows were left original and unrestored. The aftermarket removable hardtop is also unrestored and in very good condition. The car does come with new soft top ready for installation. The interior was restored by Al Knoch, gauges restored by Clocks by Roger. The odometer shows 59,701 miles. 250 miles have been logged since restoration.

If you are looking for the just the right C1 Corvette to complete your collection, or a first generation Corvette that you can take out to Cars and Coffee, this may very well be the one you've been searching for.

90%-96% of showroom condition. Exceptionally nice. May have slight wear on exterior and interior finishes but visible only under close inspection consistent with years of show detailing, climate controlled storage, enclosed transport, and indoor display. Most cars in this class are not driven more than a few miles per year.
