1991 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 1LE, Factory Original, 1 of 478 made
The 1LE was a well kept secret amongst race teams and licensed racer car drivers, when they were first came around in 1988. By 1991, the 1LE had developed a solid reputation as a race ready track monster but was now available to the general public, like the COPO performance Camaros of the 1960's.
Checking the RPO 1LE box meant that the Camaro would go the gym, cut some serious weight and get into fighting trim before doing battle against the Mustang on North America's racing legendary racing circuits. Every power option was then deleted from the car, as were the fog lights and signature T-tops. Track ready also meant an upgraded suspension, new control arms, gas-filled shocks, and big brakes borrowed from the Corvette. A 3.42 posi-rear limited-slip rear differential, an aluminum driveshaft, and a baffled gas tank rounded out the package. Chevrolet only produced 478 Camaro Z/28 1LE's for the 1991 model year.
Red, Automatic, and Awesome makes this example one of the best you can find for you personal collection or some tremendous fun!
