And why not? This is believed to be the highest optioned '67 427/435 coupe ever built. If it is a blue-chip investment quality Corvette you are after, this is a worthy centerpiece of any collection.
EXTERIOR
The body is finished in the factory correct shade of Silver Pearl, is single stage lacquer. 1,000's of hours committed to perfection by expert hands shines through in the fit and finish. All the glass, crystal clear. All the chrome and stainless trim, brilliant. The side pipes and finned heat shields, flawless. The result is superior to anything the factory could produce.
INTERIOR
Inhale deeply the musky tannins of Black leather. Teakwood steering wheel warm in your grip, and the waterfall center stack flows past the AM/FM radio, down the center console to the power window switches. The seat hides, the dash, door panels, head liner, and carpet are all crisp as freshly pressed uniform. Bezels, brightwork, and lenses are likewise spotless. The cockpit is yours.
ENGINE BAY
Not merely “Numbers Matching”, but original. This RPO L71 427 Cubic Inch engine, casting code 3904351, is also VIN stamped from the factory. This is the “born with” engine. Same as the transmission and rear end. The engine assembly and engine bay are restored and detailed to exacting factory specifications and detail. The Silver Pearl stinger hood reveals an engine assembly complete from the chromed air cleaner and three Holley 2-barrel carburetors to the oil pan, it is as the it was in the showroom in 1967.
CHASSIS
Concours detail abounds. The Muncie 4-speed manual transmission fully restored to original factory function and appearance. The same for the double A-arm front and rear independent sports suspension, as well as the transverse rear spring. All underneath appears factory fresh including the fiberglass foot boxes, OEM shocks, and fuel tank. Factory finishes on all suspension parts; overspray patterns and inspection markings are all as they should be. Additionally, the original fuel tank is preserved and set aside, original tank sticker still intact.
