1971 Plymouth GTX 440 +6 Pack! OE Concours, Rare Autumn Bronze Over Chestnut
This 1971 Plymouth GTX 440+6 is a fresh rotisserie restored to an OE Gold Concours standard. Being one of only 135 the factory produced V-Code GTX's for '71 and 1 of 1 as equipped according to Galen Govier's Chrysler Registry. It was also featured in Mopar Collector's Guide, “X Street Racer, Rare Autumn Bronze Over Chestnut 6-pack '71 GTX”. This car sold new at Cifaldi Motors Cumberland, WI rediscovered in a long term private collection nearby the dealership by the dealership founder's grandson. The bought the car and brought it to Muscle Car Restorations (MCR) of Chippewa Falls, WI for a complete rotisserie restoration. The mission was to bring a car sold by his family's dealership back to showroom new condition. Once that mission was accomplished and savored, it was time to send the car to the next caretaker.
The current owner put his master's touch on it, bringing the engine bay, N96 Hood Assembly, drivetrain, and suspension to current OE Gold Concours specifications. The car has a total of 12 miles on the restoration since completion, and zero since the concours correction and detailing. This GTX is ready for whatever scrutiny any Mopar Judge can throw at it.
Not only is this GTX concours worthy, it is also factory documented by an original Broadcast Sheet and Fender Tag. The car is listed in the Chrysler Registry as #12 of 33 1971 440-6bbl Plymouth GTX produced n the St. Louis, MO plant. The car also comes with a Broadcast Sheet and Fender Tag decode performed by Galen Govier.
Notable options include Power Brakes, Tinted Glass, Rim Blow Steering Wheel, Power Windows, and Premium Saddle Tan Bucket Seats with folding armrest.
