1969 Pontiac Trans Am RAIII 4-speed, Unrestored Public Relations car!
This unrestored example of the 1969 Pontiac Trans Am was used as a Public Relations vehicle, provisioned out to T&G Racing to promote the brand-new Trans Am model in the Quebec-Ottawa area of Canada.
The car remained on MSO until 1978 and still retains 100% of its original drivetrain, original paint, original interior, and extensive factory documentation. The mechanicals have been gone through.
The drivetrain is 100% original. The L74 - 400HO 4bbl, 4-speed manual shift, 3.55 Safe-T-Track rear are all present and accounted for.
According to Herb Adams, this is one two cars set up by T&G racing with adjustable shocks, rear disc brakes, and custom front and rear sway bars. It is one of the last 6 to be sent to T&G from GM of Canada's Show Car Account. Truly a piece of history.
The interior is in very good condition and fully intact. According to field inspection, all the glass is original and correct to the car. Because it was a PR car, it is generously optioned as well.
This 1969 Pontiac Trans Am had been previously magazine featured and concours displayed, last in 2021. Judging sheets read 100% GM. Whether you are taking a preservationist's approach or are looking for a basis for a complete rotisserie restoration, you know this one, according to Trans Am Nationals Judges, is factory correct and original. The documentation and history goes back to its days as a press pony.
