1972 Plymouth Duster 340 TX9, all original and unrestored!
This unrestored, original 1972 Plymouth Duster 340 shows 37,827 actual miles and still wears its factory coat of TX9 Formal Black. The original, numbers matching 340 Engine and 727 Automatic Transmission are also present and accounted for. This Duster is documented by not one, but two broadcast sheets. The sheets and the original fender tag confirm that this car is factory as a black with white tail panel stripe. The codes call out the high performance 340 4bbl with manual steering, power brakes with front discs, the optimal combination for road handling and control.
The interior is stock appearing and factory original with only a couple of nods to modernity. The R11 Music Master AM radio was set aside in favor of a Bluetooth equipped AM/FM head unit and near rear speakers. The original rear speaker tray and radio are included in the sale. The rear Mopar shocks were also replaced in the late 1970's with radial tire friendly units. The V5X rub strips were also substituted out in favor of V6W White Longitude Sports Stripes. The car retains its original TX9 paint.
In addition to multiple broadcast sheets the car's history is chronicled by a complete book of history dating back to the first owner; includes the original sales order and receipts. Unlike many “barn finds” or “survivors”, this unrestored original 340 Duster runs, drives, and everything works.
